PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: February 25, 2026
Welcome to The Rhyme Game ("App"), operated by Creative Rhythm LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Anonymous Identifier
When you first open the App, we automatically create an anonymous account using Google Firebase Authentication. This generates a unique identifier (UID) that is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information. We use this identifier solely to provide App functionality.
1.2 Device Permissions
The App may request access to the following device features:
- Camera: To record video of your freestyle performances.
- Microphone: To record audio during your performances.
- Photo Library: To save your recorded videos to your device.
These permissions are optional. You can use core App features without granting camera or microphone access. You can change these permissions at any time through your device settings.
1.3 Locally Stored Data
The App stores the following data locally on your device (not on our servers):
- Your app preferences and settings (e.g., playback speed, theme, audio settings)
- Cached content for offline use (e.g., word lists, beat metadata)
- Your permission choices and onboarding progress
This data is stored using your device's local storage and is not transmitted to us.
1.4 Video Recordings
When you record a performance, the video is processed on your device. Recordings are:
- Stored temporarily on your device during recording
- Saved to your device's photo library only if you choose to save them
- Shared only if you explicitly use the share function (which uses your device's native sharing)
- Never uploaded to our servers
1.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
- Your precise or approximate location
- Your contacts or address book
- Your browsing history
- Device advertising identifiers
- Biometric data
- Financial or payment information
1.6 Analytics Data (Optional)
If you have not opted out of analytics, the App collects anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics. This includes which screens you visit, which features you use, and general session information (such as app opens and game sessions played). This data is linked only to your anonymous Firebase UID — never to your identity. You can opt out in Settings at any time.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the anonymous identifier and locally stored data to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
- Deliver game content (beats, word lists, rhyme patterns, tutorials)
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Improve the App experience
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses the following third-party services:
3.1 Google Firebase
Firebase Authentication: Creates and manages anonymous user accounts.
Firebase Cloud Firestore: Delivers game content (beats, word lists, patterns, tutorials).
Firebase Cloud Storage: Streams beat audio files to the App.
Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App is used and improve the experience. This includes:
App open and session events
-Screen views (which screens you navigate to)
-Feature usage (e.g., game sessions started, rhyme dictionary used, camera mode started)
-Onboarding progress and completion
-Anonymous user properties (e.g., app version, whether onboarding is complete, approximate usage bucket)
Firebase Analytics data is associated with your anonymous Firebase UID — it is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identifier.
You can opt out at any time by turning off the Analytics toggle in the App's Settings screen. When opted out, no analytics data is collected or sent.
Google Firebase may collect limited technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) as part of providing these services. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
3.2 Apple App Store / Google Play Store
If you download the App through Apple's App Store or Google Play, those platforms may collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control or have access to data collected by these platforms.
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
The only data transmitted from the App is:
- Anonymous requests to Firebase to retrieve game content (beats, word lists, etc.)
- Anonymous authentication tokens to maintain your session
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- All data transmitted between the App and Firebase is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Your preferences and cached content are stored locally on your device.
- Video recordings remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- We do not store personal information on our servers.
While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
6.1 Local Data
All locally stored data (preferences, cache, settings) can be deleted by:
- Using the "Delete My Data" option in the App's Settings screen
- Uninstalling the App from your device
6.2 Firebase Data
Your anonymous Firebase account can be deleted through the "Delete My Data" option in the App's Settings. This permanently removes your anonymous identifier from our systems.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
